Bail extended for Chinese nationals facing drug charge
Accused pair were absent as court fixes next hearing date

Bail has been extended for Chinese nationals Xu Qiang and Wang An at the High Court in Lautoka.
The accused were not present in court today and were represented by their lawyer, Neha Devi, before Justice Sekonaia Vodokisolomone.
They each face one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.

The court heard that on September 23 last year in Nadi, Xu and Wang were allegedly found in possession of 805.657 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Both men are unemployed and were in Fiji on six‑month tourist visas.
The court granted the bail extension. There were no objections by the prosecution.
A Chinese interpreter has been arranged for the next hearing on April 17.
