The charges stem from an alleged incident during a police operation in Wailea Settlement in March 2024.
It is alleged the four officers repeatedly assaulted Stephen Serukalou O'Connor over two days, on March 15 and 16.
During the court appearance, the State sought additional time to file its response to a bail application lodged by the defence.
The accused are represented by lawyer Joji Cakau.
Magistrate Ratakele adjourned the matter to July 1 for the hearing of the bail application.
The four accused were further remanded in custody.
