The Suva Magistrate Court has adjourned the bail review ruling for suspended senior police officer Sevuloni Lubi, as the ruling was not ready.

Lubi faces charges of unlawful importation and possession of 4.7 kilograms of methamphetamine, as well as possession of $650, which is believed to be proceeds of crime.

He was produced in court this morning; however, his case was moved to 12pm, when the adjournment was announced. The matter has now been adjourned to next Monday.

At this stage, the State prosecution has indicated plans to consolidate three files involving similar offences.

These include the cases of Lubi, Ratu Lote Leweivanua, Alipate Matadigo, and Eroni Bati.

The cases of Leweivanua and Matadigo are before Magistrate Ratakele, while Bati’s case is before Chief Magistrate Josaia Waqaivolavola.
