Nadi murder suspect denied bail, High Court to hear case

Kalle Thomas Burgun was denied bail by the Nadi Magistrate Court today. 

He is charged with one count of murder and appeared before Magistrate Jeremaia Savou   

The court heard that on December 4, 2025, at the ATS Quarters at Votualevu in Nadi, the accused alleged murdered Rogasio Toutou Ulutea. 

The State prosecution was represented by Joeli Naivalu. 

Magistrate Savou referred the case to the High Court in Lautoka.  

“For that type of offence, we have to transfer your matter to the High Court. In the meantime, you are remanded in custody.” 

The case was adjourned to January 19.
