Psychiatric report for murder accused still pending

Psychiatric evaluation report for Charles Sundar, accused of murdering his grandmother, is yet to be completed as the case continues.

The psychiatric evaluation report for the man accused of murdering his grandfather last year is still not ready.

Murder accused Charles Sundar did not appear before Justice Usaia Ratuvili today.

It is alleged that on July 12, 2025, at Navokadamu Settlement in Lutu, Wainibuka, Sundar struck his grandfather with a cane knife, causing serious injuries that later led to his death.

He is also accused of dismembering the body and placing it in a sack.

Sundar’s matter was initially scheduled for today, but the court moved the case.

He remains at St Giles Psychiatric Hospital.
