A man convicted of drug possession and damaging a police uniform will have to wait longer for a review of his sentence.

This comes after a High Court hearing in Suva today was adjourned to allow him more time to respond to the prosecution's submission.

Jone Vakarisi, who is representing himself, appeared before Chief Justice Salesi Temo for the continued sentence review hearing.

The matter has been adjourned to April 13 to give Vakarisi time to read and respond to the prosecution's written submission. His bail has been extended.

Vakarisi was earlier sentenced to three months' imprisonment, suspended for two years, after pleading guilty to possessing 15.2 grams of marijuana and damaging a police uniform in 2023.
