Defence lawyers are seeking a possible reduction of charges against a man accused in a sword attack case, who also faces separate allegations linked to the major methamphetamine bust in Nadi.
Isaac Lesianawai was absent from the High Court in Lautoka today because of illness.
He was represented by lawyer Mark Anthony, while State lawyer Sheenal Swastika appeared for the prosecution before Justice Riyaz Hamza.

Lesianawai faces one count each of attempted murder, criminal intimidation, property damage and theft.
It is alleged he and others assaulted Viliame Finau with a sword in Waireba, Nadi, over an unpaid debt.
Lesianawai is also among 13 people charged in relation to the alleged $2 billion methamphetamine bust in Nadi in 2024.
During yesterday’s proceedings, discussions focused on the possibility of reducing the charges.
The court referred to earlier discussions and a judgment delivered on May 20.
Justice Hamza encouraged counsel to review previous cases before any decision was made on a possible reduction of charges.
The State indicated only three to four witnesses were expected to testify.
The matter was adjourned to June 11 for further mention.
