A local TikToker, Pranjeeta Shalini Chand, has been granted bail by the Nadi Magistrate Court today.

Chand appeared before Magistrate Talei Kean, who heard details of her arrest.

The accused faces one count of unlawful possession of an illicit drug.

Chand was taken into custody on December 27 after allegedly being found in possession of more than 0.2 grams of methamphetamine.

During the court proceedings, the accused acknowledged the charge laid against her.

Magistrate Kean granted the accused bail under strict conditions, including a $1000 cash bail and the provision of two sureties.

As part of her bail conditions, the accused must report to the Nadi Police Station once every month, beginning Saturday.

The court also imposed a stop-departure order, preventing the accused from leaving Fiji while the case remains before the court is pending.

The court further outlined the responsibility of the sureties, stating that if the accused fails to appear for any scheduled court hearings, each surety will have to pay $500.

The matter is adjourned to March 2.

Magistrate Kean said compliance with all bail conditions is mandatory.
