Two women charged over $300 clothing theft granted bail

Two women charged with theft have been granted bail by the Nadi Magistrate Court yesterday.

Famisa Imrana and Savaira Loco appeared before Magistrate Talei Kean, each charged with one count of theft.

They acknowledged they understood the charges, confirmed receiving their disclosures, and requested representation from Legal Aid Commission lawyers.

The court heard that on November 6, the two allegedly stole items valued at $300 from Briz Wholesale Direct in Nadi.

The items included dresses, men’s wear, and children’s clothing. Magistrate Kean granted bail in the sum of of $500 each.

The matter was adjourned for mention on March 2, 2026, at the Nadi Magistrate Court.

In a separate matter, Chandra Veidre was charged with giving a false name to a police officer.

The name given was Pita Degei. Veidre also requested Legal Aid representation and confirmed receiving his disclosures.

Magistrate Kean granted a $300 bail.

The case is adjourned to March 9, 2026, at the Nadi Magistrate Court.
