Police hunt for driver in Labasa hit-and-run
64-year-old woman suffers broken jaw in hit-and-run accident while walking to church at Delailabasa.

Labasa Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a 64-year-old woman seriously injured at Delailabasa on Wednesday evening.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman was struck by the side mirror of a Toyota Fielder while walking to church around 6pm. The driver allegedly fled the scene without stopping to assist.
The victim suffered a broken jaw and is currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Labasa Hospital.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the incident and said investigations are underway.
“We are searching for the driver,” Ms Naisoro said.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in locating the suspect.
