Police have confirmed that a post-mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death of a Nadi doctor who was discovered motionless and covered in blood at his Namaka Park home this afternoon.

Crime scene investigators are still at the property, ensuring all necessary processes and protocols are being followed before the victim’s details can be officially released.

The discovery came after a workmate alerted police upon finding the victim inside the house this afternoon.

Investigations are ongoing.

  • Afternoon, September 1 – A colleague of the alleged victim, contacted police reporting that the victim had not turned up for work and was not answering his phone.
  • 4:22pm – Police were dispatched to the victims residence to check on his welfare.
  • 4:27pm – Officers at the scene reported finding the victim lying motionless and covered in blood inside his sitting room.
  • 4:50pm – The incident was officially logged at the Namaka Police Station.
