Mr Prasad contractors were doing service relocations whereby all the drainage, electrical and telecommunication cables would be placed underground.
He said they were digging up everything, putting them outside and shifting the carriage way for drainage pipes to go through.

“All the fibers and telecommunication cables are going underground, nothing will be on top anymore along the road,” he said.
“EFL work is a little bit delayed, the plan is to remove all the posts and make sure that everything is going underground.
“It begins from the Walu Bay Bridge to the Reservoir road roundabout.”
He added that the four lane road is expected to go right up until Nadonumai.
“It is going to take another 18 months because we will also duplicate the bridge as well in Tamavua-i-Wai. It is going to take some time.
“A lot of work is going on there and we are seeking the understanding of the public that traffic at the area will be affected most of the time.
“The rainy weather will also impact us from November to April. We will continue to work to try and get the project finished.”
