63 Families To Benefit From Suva Methodist Circuit Food-Drive

Sixty-three families living in Suva will benefit from the Methodist Church of Fiji Suva Circuit Food-Drive that was held yesterday.
Chairman of the Suva Circuit Social Services Committee, Akuila Tawake said the initiative was to help families who were in need and those that were living in Hart homes around Suva.
“The once in a month food drive started in August this year and donations are from different church circuits, people living overseas and those passing by who give out of a generous heart.

“We also have stationery drives but because we are nearing Christmas, we will be distributing gifts, food packs and towels,” Mr Tawake said.
He added that it has not been an easy year for many because of the impact of COVID19.
“A lot of families are struggling today and these food packs are to try and put a smile on their faces just so they know that there are people out there who care for them,” Mr Tawake said.
