Labasa-based novelist, Shalendra Bishwa (left), presents his novel ‘Rejected Emotions of a Married Hindu Woman from Fiji’ to the Indian Government Minister for External Affairs, Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at the 12th World Hindu Conference in Nadi.

Shalendra Bishwa, was honoured to present his novel ‘Rejected Emotions of a Married Hindu Woman’, to the Indian Government Minister for External Affairs, Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

Residing in Labasa, Bishwa along with other authors from various locations in Fiji were invited to attend the 12th World Hindi Conference, which concluded in Nadi on Friday.

Mr Bishwa said he was privileged at the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of his mother tongue and the growth of the Hindu language in various countries where its dialects were spoken.
