Police are investigating the death of locally renowned chef and director of Kanu Gastropub, Lance Seeto, 60, who was found unresponsive with visible head injuries in the bathroom of his apartment on Clarke St, Suva, yesterday.
Police said a staff member from Kanu Gastropub visited his apartment at 9:21 am after he failed to return their calls since last Friday.
Police were present at the scene until the afternoon, conducting their investigations.

While awaiting post-mortem results to determine the cause of death, social media platforms have been inundated with messages of condolence following the shocking news.
Div Damodar of the Div Damodar Group of Companies expressed his heartbreak, describing Mr Seeto as a kind-hearted and joyful individual.
He noted that Seeto had inspired and assisted many people in Fiji, stating that he would not be forgotten as a brother.
The Facebook page Fiji Chefs also paid tribute, referring to him as a legendary chef who devoted his life to Fijian gastronomy.
They highlighted his role in training and developing some of the most renowned chefs in Fiji, ensuring that Fijian gastronomy was elevated to new heights.
Additionally, the German Embassy in Suva conveyed its condolences, noting that Chef Seeto had played a significant role in making their events memorable through his exceptional catering, including during the recent visit of German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock to Fiji from May 5 to 7.
