Two people have died following a road accident along Denarau Road in Nadi yesterday morning.

Police say a 23-year-old man from Saru Back Road in Lautoka allegedly lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and strike a 36-year-old man from Noke Settlement who was walking along the roadside.

Both victims were rushed to Nadi Hospital but were pronounced dead on arrival.

A third victim, who was a passenger in the vehicle, has been transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital where he remains admitted in stable condition.
