Fiji Link flights cancelled as TC Vaianu disrupts travel

Fiji Airports has confirmed that all Fiji Link departures have been cancelled today as adverse weather from Tropical Cyclone Vaianu continues to affect operations.

In a travel advisory, Fiji Airports said Fiji Airways morning departures were delayed, while multiple international flights to and from Nadi had been cancelled.

Flights affected include Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia services — JQ119/120, VA175/176, VA181/182, VA195/196 and QF101/102 — along with Air New Zealand flights NZ952/953.

An incoming service, ON017, is delayed with an estimated arrival time of 10.50pm.

Travellers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest updates and assistance with rescheduling.

Authorities are urging the public to remain patient and prioritise safety as severe weather conditions continue to affect operations.
