A known person of interest, with alleged links to illicit drug trade in Fiji, is under interrogation by a joint taskforce team, following escalated military and Police operations to dismantle illegal drug trade across Fiji.
Our Police source confirms that the person of interest is 38-year-old Imran Khan, widely known as King Khan, to his associates.
Khan allegedly had a close relationship with the late Jone Vakarisi, another person of interest to both military and Police because of his affiliations to criminal networks, with their photo reshared widely across social media platforms.

Like Vakarisi, Khan has multiple charges of illegal importation of methamphetamine, also known as ice, pending before the Suva court.
He came under the joint operations radar the past week following multiple attempts of break-ins in the military facilities in Lautoka and Suva.
Khan resides in the Nasinu area and is believed to be operating a business.
His ‘Facebook’ handles indicate that he is the director of a home security company in Nasinu, that specialises in the installation of CCTV cameras and other security systems.
All phone numbers listed on the company’s ‘Facebook’ page are not operational.
He is believed to have been arrested over the weekend and remains in custody. The joint operations continue across the country.
