Foreign nationals name Suva businessman in cash investigation
RBF yet to confirm whether the businessman holds a licence to operate a money exchange service.

A prominent Suva businessman has been named by a group of foreign nationals after they were stopped at Nadi International Airport carrying large sums of cash, prompting a police investigation.
The Fiji Police Force has confirmed an investigation is underway.
This newspaper understands the foreign nationals were intercepted at Nadi International Airport carrying large amounts of Fijian currency.

During questioning, the group allegedly told investigators they had exchanged the money with the businessman in Suva.
The Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) is yet to confirm whether the businessman holds a licence to operate a money exchange service.
