Man arrested over alleged Raiwaqa top shop robbery

A 23-year-old man of Raiwai has been arrested in connection with an alleged aggravated robbery in Raiwaqa this morning.

Police said the man is accused of acting with two others to assault and rob a man outside the Milverton Road Top Shop.

The victim was waiting for a bus when he was allegedly assaulted and robbed of his watch and $9.

Police said the matter was reported immediately and a team was formed to locate the suspects.

The 23-year-old was arrested along Nairai Road and is currently being questioned at the Raiwaqa Police Station.

Police said the search continues for the other two suspects.
