A 24-year-old man has been charged after allegedly using a fake social media account to sell two video gaming sets that were never delivered.
The Fiji Police Force alleged that the self-employed man of Lot 24, Ikadroka Place, Valelevu, obtained $689 on two separate occasions between August 16 and 24 last year through a mobile money transfer platform.
It is alleged the accused advertised the gaming sets online and received payments from two victims via mobile money transfer.

After the transactions, police say there was no further communication and the items were not delivered.
The matter was reported at Totogo Police Station.
The accused faces two counts of obtaining a financial advantage by deception.
The 24-year-old man is expected to appear at the Suva Magistrates Court today at 2.30pm.
