Nadi Police investigate theft of religious statues
Police say a team is working round the clock to pursue leads and identify the suspect.

Nadi Police are investigating five cases of alleged theft of religious statues, all reported on 22 August 2025.
Three of the incidents occurred in Korociri between 12pm and 1pm, where five statues were stolen from three separate properties. A clay lamp was also taken from one of the homes.
In Nakurakura, a 33-year-old man reported the theft of three statues from his property that same morning.

The fifth case was reported by a 35-year-old man of Sagayam Road, who discovered a statue missing from his prayer room.
