Nine people injured in an alleged gas explosion at Zamzam Restaurant in Samabula on May 5 are admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH), the Ministry of Health says.

In an update issued at 2pm, the ministry confirmed two patients are on life support, while the others are receiving treatment for inhalation and facial burns.

Doctors in the Emergency Department are continuing treatment.

The ministry says further updates will be provided.
