No narcotics found on wrecked yacht: Police clarifies
Preliminary assessments by police and maritime officials suggest the vessel had been adrift for a considerable period and had sustained extensive interior damage.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed that no narcotics were found on the wrecked yacht discovered at Vunikodi Village, Udu Point, Macuata.
She said the vessel had been drifting at sea for some time after the owner was unable to locate it since last year.
The yacht, registered in Papeete, French Polynesia, was reported to have sunk near Moorea Island on May 26, 2025. Following its discovery, the Fiji Police Force, the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service and the Republic of Fiji Navy worked with regional law enforcement partners to establish the vessel’s origin.
