Police identify boy in viral bullying video, suspects to be questioned soon

A young boy seen being bullied in a viral Facebook video has been positively identified following a tip-off from a member of the public.

Police confirmed the child was escorted to the Korovou Police Station, where his statement was recorded. Investigations are continuing, and the suspects involved are expected to be brought in for questioning soon.

The Fiji Police Force thanked the public for sharing information that helped with the case.

“We plead once again with parents and guardians to continuously talk to their children about the importance of making wise choices and to ensure they choose the right group of friends that encourage positive growth, rather than leading them into troubling situations that they may regret later,” police said.
