Any tenant found in possession of or involved in the sale or use of illegal drugs will be immediately evicted and reported to the police, warns the Public Rental Board (PRB).
While addressing concerns raised by residents at the Naodamu Estate Block 9 in Labasa, PRB stressed that all their estates were drug free.
“All PRB flats are drug free and that includes Naodamu,” the PRB statement said.

Meanwhile, the PRB yesterday clarified that the drainage system at Naodamu is maintained by the Labasa Town Council.
Block Nine at Naodamu has been experiencing drainage issues claiming rubbish are blocking drains.
“PRB continues to work closely with the council to ensure a cleaner and safer environment for residents,” the PRB statement read.
Naodamu Evacuation Centre caretaker Ropate Rakuro said flooding remained a major challenge.
“Whenever it rains, even if it’s not heavy, the water floods our area because of poor drainage,” Mr Rakuro said.
“Every year we expect floods and the floods damage the floors and other belongings in the houses,” he said.
Another resident, Lusiana Qalia highlighted the clogged drains and risk to homes.
“Last week, the water reached the doorsteps of two residents,” Ms Qalia said.
Residents are appealing for urgent repairs to the drainage system.
