RFMF declares military sites no-fly zones for drones
The RFMF warned it would execute counter-drone measures to detect, deter and neutralise unauthorised aerial activity that may pose a security threat to personnel, infrastructure or the wider public.

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) has declared all its installations “NO FLY ZONES” for unmanned aerial vehicles or drones of any type.
In a press statement, the RFMF said the unauthorised operation of drones over its installations posed a potential risk to the safety and security of the RFMF.
“The public is strongly advised to refrain from flying drones over restricted areas such as military installations, as detailed in the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji Regulations,” the statement said.

“Counter drone measures are a deterrent and are part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national security and maintain public confidence,” the statement said.
The RFMF also thanked the public for its cooperation and reminded all drone operators to act responsibly in accordance with the law.
