Police officer among four due in court on assault charges
One accused also faces an allegation of stealing the victim's phone, jacket and cash.

Four men, including one alleged to be a police officer, are expected to appear in court charged with allegedly assaulting a man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
It is alleged that on August 25, 2024, in the Central Division, the four men unlawfully assaulted the victim, causing injuries.
The accused alleged to be a police officer also faces a charge of allegedly dishonestly stealing the victim's belongings, including a Samsung Galaxy A35 mobile phone, an Adidas jacket and $200 in cash.

The four men are expected to be produced before the court, where the charges will be formally heard.
Police said investigations are continuing.
