Sekove Waqa Eager To Embark On Summer Dance Camp In Israel
Waqa is excited for the end results and lessons he plans to share with his Fiji peers upon his return.

The independence of Sekova Waqa’s parents, for example, has paid off big time.
Now a professional dancer for VOU Dance Studio, he prepares to embark on an intense summer dance camp in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he will learn alongside his global counterparts.

His trip to the GagaLab Summer Intensive Dance programme is part of VOU’s five-year loyalty award.
“I can’t imagine doing anything else,” said Mr Waqa.
Family Influence
From a family of five siblings, Mr Waqa listed his parents as his biggest motivators.
He is driven like his parents’ ethics for hard work.
“They are self-motivated individuals; not the sort to give up if the situation is hard, and knowing exactly where to push and when to slow down,” Mr Waqa said.
“This really helps me a lot in my work, to become a better dancer.”
