Several students have been questioned and released by police in connection with a bullying incident in Galoa Village, Serua, on February 17.
The investigation follows reports that a 16-year-old boy, who had gone to gather bamboo with a group of youths, was forced to inhale marijuana, had his hands and legs tied, and was threatened with a cane knife.
The incident was reportedly captured on video and circulated on social media, prompting the victim’s family to file a complaint with police.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the questioning took place at the Navua Police Station in the presence of the students’ parents.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
