Tailevu teen dies in house fire
According to the Fiji Police Force, the fire is believed to have started in one of the rooms, although the exact cause is yet to be determined.

An 18-year-old has tragically lost his life after being trapped inside his bedroom during a house fire.
Police reported that the fire broke out at the teen’s home in Nakaile, Tailevu, yesterday. He was unable to escape from his bedroom when the blaze erupted.
According to the Fiji Police Force, the fire is believed to have started in one of the rooms, although the exact cause is yet to be determined.

“Joint investigations with the National Fire Authority (NFA) are continuing,” the police statement read.
Authorities are urging members of the public to take fire safety seriously and to follow the regular awareness campaigns conducted by the NFA and other relevant agencies.
