Teen pulled from Narewa river, dies
The 16-year-old boy was swimming with friends when the incident occurred, police say.

A 16-year-old male student from Nadi is believed to be the country’s latest drowning victim.
Police said the student was swimming with friends in the Narewa River yesterday morning when the incident occurred.
His friends managed to pull him from the water, but attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
He was later pronounced dead at Nadi Hospital.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
