Toy gun behind Nabua security scare

A reported gun sighting in Nabua has been linked to a toy gun, police say.

In the investigation, a security officer had reported seeing a firearm. The vehicle owner was later brought in for questioning.

He confirmed that at the time of the sighting, his son was holding a toy gun that matched the description provided.

The item was inspected by the Police Force Armourer and confirmed to be similar to a ball bearing (BB) gun.

While often treated as a toy, investigations are continuing to determine where it was sourced.
