Truck driver dies in suspected electrocution after power line breaks in Serua
Officers believe a broken power line may have caused the fatal incident.

A truck driver from Maro, Nadroga, died in an alleged electrocution incident in Serua yesterday.
Police have identified the deceased as Izaz Aliem Buksh.
Police spokesperson Corporal Wame Bautolu said the incident occurred at about 9.45am at Culanuku, along the Queens Highway.

“He died of suspected electrocution. He was found lying motionless at Culanuku, Serua, on the Queens Highway at about 9.45am,” he said.
Cpl Bautolu said Mr Buksh had been driving a double-trailer truck, which allegedly broke a power line.
He said the body was transferred to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to determine the cause of death.
Police investigations are underway.
