Chief Executive Officer Apisalome Movono said the system goes beyond basic document storage and digitisation, offering a comprehensive solution that allows staff and students to securely access information anytime, from anywhere.

The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has rolled out a new digital platform to ensure uninterrupted access to student services, even during national disruptions.

Chief Executive Officer Apisalome Movono said the system goes beyond basic document storage and digitisation, providing a comprehensive platform for secure access to information.

“This platform enables flexibility to work remotely, secure access for staff, and extended services for students through portals, e-forms, and workflow automation,” Mr Movono said.

He said the move was a proactive response to potential challenges such as fuel shortages or movement restrictions, which could limit access to physical records.

“Imagine a situation where movement is restricted, how would staff or students access hardcopy information? With this platform, TSLS can continue operating efficiently and without disruption,” he said.

Mr Movono said the initiative marked a significant step in TSLS’s digital journey, aimed at improving service delivery and resilience.

He also acknowledged the role of technology partner Computer 1, noting that collaboration would be key to addressing future challenges and enhancing the system over time.

With the new platform in place, TSLS aims to ensure education services remain accessible, secure and reliable for students across Fiji, regardless of external circumstances.
