Two men die in Rakiraki fishing tragedy
Police confirm kayak found ashore in mangroves; post-mortem scheduled to determine cause of death.

An extended family in Navatu, Rakiraki, is mourning the loss of two relatives who died during a fishing trip over the weekend.
Dead are Kushal Kumar, 27, and Sandeep Narayan, 38.
Artika Kumar, the wife of Mr Kumar for the past three years, was overcome with grief.

She said she was blessed to have had a loving and caring husband.
“I really miss you every single second, especially today,” she said.
“I miss you, hubby. You will always be in my heart. I still can’t believe you left me with only our memories.”
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the two men left for a fishing trip on Saturday at around 7pm. They departed Navatu in a kayak but failed to return.
A search party was deployed on Sunday. At around 11.39am, the kayak was found ashore in mangroves near Navatu waters.
Ms Naisoro said the search resumed at 9.30am yesterday, and the second victim was later found floating near the Navatu coastline.
A post-mortem will be held today to determine the cause of death.
