Two men surrender over Wailoku assault investigation

Two men wanted for questioning in connection with a serious assault and property damage case in Wailoku have surrendered to Police.

The pair presented themselves with their lawyers at the Samabula Police Station last night.

Police allege the two men were part of a group involved in a violent attack at a residence in Wailoku over the weekend.

The incident resulted in a man sustaining serious injuries, and he remains admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

Earlier, two other suspects were arrested during a police raid along Waimanu Road, while a third suspect was taken into custody later.

All five men are now being questioned as investigations into the matter continue, police confirmed.
