SODELPA denies ministry vehicle campaign claims

SODELPA leader Aseri Radrodro has denied allegations that Ministry of Education vehicles are being used to transport party candidates during the election campaign, describing the claims as false and unfounded.

The allegations surfaced on Facebook, prompting questions to the party over whether Government vehicles assigned to the Ministry of Education were being used for campaign purposes.

Mr Radrodro, who is also the Minister for Education, said SODELPA had its own vehicles for party activities.

"SODELPA has its own party vehicles and that are for party officials' use," Mr Radrodro said.

He said candidates were responsible for arranging their own transport during the campaign.

"Any candidate standing is expected to arrange their own transport for campaigning," he said.

Mr Radrodro said ministry operations continued as normal and Government vehicles were used only for official ministerial duties and activities.
