U.S Fijians raise voter re-registration concerns with Radrodro

SODELPA leader Aseri Radrodro has described his recent visit to the United States of America as “successful”, saying he met Fijians who raised concerns about voter re-registration for the coming General Election.

“It’s been a worthwhile trip to visit families and Friends in Santa Rosa and Sacramento U.S.A,” he said on the party website.

“I took official leave to also attend a SODELPA organised dinner hosted by the USA SODELPA executives and supporters. During the visit I met other Fijians working and living in the U.S.A. It presented an opportunity to discuss the various challenges that they face in the U.S and Fiji.”

He said most raised concerns about their re-registration for the coming General Election by the Fijian Elections Office during its recent visit to the US, as well as the short timeframe and lack of awareness of the visit.

Mr Radrodro said he had communicated the concerns to the Fijian Elections Office.

He also had the opportunity to meet executives of the Fijian Community Caregivers Association (FCCA) to discuss their concerns and status as workers in the US caregiving industry.

“I was hosted by the Naitasiri USA community in Sacramento and in Roneheart Santa Rosa, likewise by the Bula Fiji Caregiving Agency LLC and was visited by the members of the Montgomery Methodist Church and QVSOBs.”

He was accompanied by his wife, Sainiana.
