Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Filimone Vosarogo has reaffirmed his commitment to the People’s Alliance Party (PAP) and signalled his intention to contest the upcoming General Election under its banner.

In an interview during an engagement in Macuata yesterday, Mr Vosarogo said he had encountered no issues within the party.

He reiterated his loyalty to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, describing himself as a steadfast supporter and legal adviser.

Mr Vosarogo contested the 2022 General Election under the PAP banner, won a parliamentary seat and was subsequently appointed to a ministerial portfolio.

He said that under Mr Rabuka’s leadership, the Coalition Government had remained stable over the past three years.

Mr Vosarogo also highlighted that improving access to safe drinking water for maritime communities remained a key priority.

Addressing water accessibility challenges, he said the Government’s efforts to improve clean water supply in maritime areas demonstrated its commitment to meeting the daily needs of rural populations.

He expressed confidence in PAP’s prospects in the upcoming election.

Meanwhile, G9 bloc independent Member of Parliament and Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Mosese Bulitavu has also pledged his support for Mr Rabuka’s leadership and intends to contest the General Election under the PAP banner.
