The Fijian Pearls side ended their Singapore tour on a positive finish after defeat­ing the host side 70-48 in their final test match on Saturday afternoon.

The 14th ranked Vicki Wilson coached side won the first and sec­ond tests and will play in the Arafu­ra Games this week.

The Fijian side got off to a strong start in the first quarter with cap­tain Matila Waqanidrola (GK) excelling with midcourt services from Asilika Sevutia and shooters Una Rauluni and Lydia Panapasa enjoying most possessions.

But Singapore provided the chal­lenge holding the visitors 19-13 at one stage.

The Pearls lifted the momentum in the second quarter with overseas based Caitlyn Fisher in the mid court area maintaining their domi­nance.

The 24th ranked Singapore side just had to blame themselves in the last two quarters with poor commu­nication and errors which forced the visitors to extend their lead to 58-36 at the end of third quarter and finished the game winning 70-48.
