Top Suva teams have confirmed their participation in the 2022 Mid Central Nadi Volleyball Association tournament at the Fiji Airports hard courts, Namaka on April 8-9.
The list includes Stage Tech Raiwai, Rebels, Vuladamu (Delainavesi), Innercircle (Makoi), and Veiyasana I, Veiyasana II, and Tuva (Nadroga).
Open men’s winners walks away with $1000 while the runners-up takes $500.
Director games/referees Rusiate Seninawanawa confirmed yesterday that top teams from Suva, Nadroga, Lautoka, and Ba will be gracing the tournament.
“We are hosting 52 teams across four categories, men’s open, women’s open, masters and Under-19,” Seninawanawa said.
Masters and U-19 are for men only.
“There will be spots for 20 teams in the men’s, 16 in the women’s, and the masters and Under 19 will have eight teams each. There is prize money for winners, runners up and best player for each categories.”
He added that they have secured sponsors for this two-day event
Top favourites for the women category are Stage Tech Raiwai, Flames (Lautoka), Sisterhood and Vixens, Naidrodro (Ba), NFS Sparks, and Tuva (Nadroga), the winner walks away $800 richer and the runner up settle for $400.
