Alivereti Mocelutu Appointed As CEO Of Solomon Islands Rugby Federation Union
Mocelutu has been SIRUF national development manager since 2016.

The Solomon Islands Rugby Federation Union (SIRU) president and executives have appointed Alivereti Mocelutu as its chief executive officer (CEO).
The position has been vacant since the resignation of former CEO Gerald Oiaka.
Mocelutu has been SIRUF national development manager since 2016.

He played for Fiji in two Rugby World Cup in 1999 and 2003 and also played in New Zealand, Japan, Ireland and Wales.
His primary role is:
- carry out the policy and directions of SIRUF as notified by the president as approved by the executives.
- to provide strong leadership to, and management for, all level of rugby within the Solomon Islands boundaries and to provide a clear line of communication between SIRUF, its affiliated associations and stakeholders also ensuring SIRUF have a strong working relationship with clubs and schools within the associations.
- to be responsible for the management SIRUF staff including their performance appraisal objective setting and ongoing training and professional development requirements.
- Establish a strong relationship with Oceania and World rugby to ensure all compliance obligations are met.
- To prepare for World rugby grants (DIP) Development Investment Program funding in conjunction with the appropriate SIRUF executive as required.
