Having inter-house athletics competition at Churchill Park, Lautoka was a breakthrough for Lautoka Muslim School.

Head of Physical Education, Music and Art and Craft (PEMAC) Navneet Sharma said it was proud and happy moment for the students to have their annual event at a, international standard facility on Thursday.

“I’m so happy and thankful to the school management, principal, administrators and parents for a successful and fruitful day participating at Churchill Park.

“We wanted students to start getting used to the events and the culture of inter-house and then aim to qualify for Lautoka Zone meet and eventually the Coca-Cola Games.

“It’s our first year so we are not expecting much, miracles may happen but we will have to be optimistic when it comes to the zone and Coca –Cola Games.”

He does not expect too much as it will take two to three years for the inter-house culture to set in and students to shine.

Meanwhile, Red House won the inter-house amassing 24 gold, 19 silver and 12 bronze medals, Blue second, Green third and Yellow in fourth place.
