Best Athletes to Get Cash Sponsorships

The Powerade sponsored national torch relay starts today from the Lomaiviti Zone in Levuka, Ovalau.
The torch's official lighting took place yesterday at the Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji Office, Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.
The torch will travel through the country over the next five weeks before the Fiji Finals at the HFC Bank Stadium from April 24-26.

Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association (FSSAA) secretary Biu Colati acknowledged the support from Coca-Cola and other sponsors including Fiji Gas, Digicel, Pacific Energy, Fiji Water and CK's Mega Bargain.
Digicel regional marketing, public relations and sponsorship manager Satish Narain indicated they would be providing cash sponsorships to the best athletes in each grade and the overall male and female.
He added that cash would also be given to the FSSAA to cover for administration cost and telecommunications support to the torch relay team.

A total of 130 students from 50 selected secondary schools will carry the torch across the country. The final stretch will be held by defending champions Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School and Marist Brothers High School on April 24.
