Blue House was crowned new champions of the Suva Grammar School interhouse competition at the National Stadium in Suva last Saturday.
Last year’s winners, Yellow House finished second, followed by Green and Red respectively.
Speaking to SUNsports, Yellow House coordinator Deborah Gucake said athletes turnout this year was high, which was a positive outcome.

“The number of athletes participating too has grown compared to last year. This means that students have shown keen interest to participate in the interhouse, looking forward to the Zone meet and the Coca-Cola Games.”
Paula Vonolagi of Yellow House dominated the senior boys 100m final with a time of 10.78s, while Lisa Cakaubulisova of Blue House won the senior girls 100m in 13.60s.
Gucake said preparations are always crucial for better results.

“We missed out last year in the top 3 of the Coca Cola Games but we are aiming to bounce back this year,” she added.
