Former Digicel Fiji football coach, Christophe Gamel, is looking forward to being part of the All in One Restaurants and Cakes sponsored Lautoka Blues campaign for the 2022 Pacific Community Cup at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, later this month.

Gamel, who coached Fiji from 2016 to 2019 arrived in the country on Tuesday to take up the job in order to guide the defending champions.

“I am looking forward to sharing my expertise with Lautoka football for the Pacific Cup campaign,” Gamel said.

“It is good to be back, I love Fiji. I urge the fans to come out in numbers to support the team.”

The Frenchman said that the competition would be tough as the Blues are carrying the defending champion’s tag.

Lautoka has also roped in top Solomon Islands striker Gagame Feni in their campigan.

They have secured the services of Rewa and national defender Kishan Sami, who will be playing as a guest player.

Star national striker Sairusi Nalaubu returns from his three-months trial with a Czechoslovakian club. Nalaubu has been the Digicel Premier League top goal scorer for the past two seasons.

The Pacific Community Cup will be staged at Prince Charles in Nadi from November 24-27.
