Goalkeeper Senirusi Bokini has finally accomplished his goal to help win the Fiji Fact in the blue jersey.

To add to his accomplishment in his football career, the 29-year-old scooped the best glove award for the Hyperchem pharmacy-sponsored Lautoka side in the final at HFC Bank Stadium, Suva

The Sugar City side edged Rewa 2-1 to end their 21-year-old jinx in the Fiji FACT history.

The Blues had last won back in 2002.

“I do dedicate this award to my family including my mum and dad for their ongoing support to come this far,” he said.

This year marked Bokini’s eighth season with the Blues since 2015. In 2021 he was featured for Rewa and in 2022 for Navua.

“In my eight years with Lautoka, I was waiting for this moment, to complete my puzzle, finally to win a FACT title,” he said.

“It has been a long road, I have managed to be with the Blues and won other titles as well. We had a grand team and we had good battles in the tournament.”

The Tavua native is a police constable at the Police Mobile unit in Nasinu.

Mr Bokini remains a national rep material since his days at the Ba Sangam College and as a former Fiji Under 20 goalie as well.
