Small fry Botswana may be missing out in next year’s World Cup but they once again did the invincible in walloping the Fiji Pearls 65-37 in the first and second place playoff of the 14th Nations Cup in Singapore in the weekend.

And that was the second time in seven days at the OCBC Arena, Singapore where five netball nations battled it out. Botswana had initially thrashed the Pacific Islanders 60-43 in the round robin series. The African players were quicker, sharper and more accurate, landing 82 per cent of their shots compared to Fiji’s 79 per cent.
