Fiji cruiserweight boxing champion Alivereti Kauyaca has opted to do his talking against challenger Joseph Kwadjo in the ring.

The title fight is the main bout of the Bluewater Promotions set for Saturday, March 2, at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. Also, at stake on the night is the World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific cruiserweight title.

“Simply, there will be no prediction while I am in training,” the unbeaten Kauyaca told SUNsports yesterday.

“I know Kwadjo is ready, and there will be a war of words from next week.”

The 29-year-old from Bukuya Village in Magodro, Ba, said he did not allow the distractions of the festive season to hinder his training for the fight.

Kauyaca is calling out all boxing fans to come out and support him.

“This is my first fight of the year, and we had ample time to prepare for this showdown,” he said.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for me, and I thank the promoter for staging this event, not only for me but the other boxers appearing in the undercards.”

Promoter Samir Khan said the main bout would keep spectators on the edge of their seats.
